The TaiG jailbreak team and Jay Freeman, developer of Cydia and many other projects, have developed an untethered jailbreak for all devices running iOS 8.1.3 to 8.3 available for all from their home website TAIG. I’ve followed this jailbreak for a few days and now it’s finally released, previously the 2.0 version had an incompatible file, Cydia Substrate that required to be fixed through a kernel patch. Jay Freeman @Saurik worked hard with TaiG for two days straight on this release.

TURN OFF PASSCODE, ICLOUD, PHOTOSTREAM, Find my iPhone, WIFI, Pass through any Apple Sign in dialogs after restoring iOS.

Error ‘Apple Driver hasn’t been found’
- This error usually occurs on 64-bit versions of Windows. To fix this, install iTunesDriver64_0205.exe from here and try again!
Error 1101 (Getting Stuck at 20%)
- To fix this error you have to downgrade your version of iTunes to iTunes 12.1.
- DELETE iTunes, Apple Software Update, Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support (All 3)
- For 32-bit Windows, download iTunes 12.1 from here.
- For 64-bit Windows, download iTunes 12.1 from here.
Error 1102
- If you get this error, try to turn on Airplane Mode. If it still persists, try to remove your TouchID and Passcode Lock.
Fix Error 1103
- The jailbreak tool download file may be corrupt, redownload the tool and try again!
Error 1104 (Getting Stuck at 30% or 40%)
- This error is usually caused by bad USB port. Try another port, and if this does not work then try another Windows computer.
Error 1105 (Getting Stuck at 50%)
- If you get this error, your antivirus or firewall may be interfering with the jailbreak process. Simply turn off either of these and re-enable them when the jailbreak is complete. If this does not work, turn off Find My iPhone.
Error ‘Fix Injecting’ (Getting Stuck at 60%)
- To attempt to fix this error, reboot both your iOS device and the Windows computer. Then, run the TaiG 2.0 “.exe” file as an Administrator by right clicking the file and selecting “Run as Administrator”
Error “Storage Almost Full”
- This is a common problem after jailbreaking. Just open Cydia and allow it to set itself up and the problem will go away!
Error ‘Jailbreak failed!’
- Turn off Wi-Fi on the device and try again.
Settings.app keeps crashing
- This usually happens when you have an Apple Watch paired to your iPhone. The fix is to simply unfair your Apple Watch and re-pair it to the device. To do this, go to the Apple Watch application, select “Apple Watch” and then select “Unpair Apple Watch.” Do remember that you will lose all data on the Apple Watch when you do this.
Apps will not Download/Update from the App Store
- To fix this issue, go to the App Store and select Updates > Purchases. From here, you will be asked to enter your iCloud password, even if you were already logged in. Enter your password and then confirm it. Any errors when downloading or updating apps should now be resolved!
